Femto LASIK is the most widely used laser procedure worldwide for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and/or astigmatism. It is a technique intended especially for people between 18-40 years old, provided that the diopters have been stable in the last year.
Femto LASIK is very versatile, it can correct up to -10 diopters in myopia, combined or not with astigmatism, and up to +6 diopters in hypermetropia or +5 if combined with astigmatism.
Femto LASIK is the second generation of laser procedures and is performed with two types of lasers: femtosecond and excimer.
The procedure is done with local anesthesia with drops, without any discomfort for the patient, it takes 20-30 minutes for both eyes, of which the laser action is of the order of seconds. The vision is improved immediately after the operation and the next day the patient can resume most of his activities.

During this type of procedure, the surgeon uses a femtosecond laser to very precisely cut out a flap, an extremely thin flap of the cornea, which he lifts like a page from a book.
With the help of the second excimer laser, he can then polish the exposed corneal bed: it flattens the cornea (to correct myopia), gives it a convergent shape (to correct hypermetropia) or as symmetrical a shape as possible (to correct astigmatism).
At the end of the intervention, it returns the flap to its original position, perfectly closed, ensuring a quick and comfortable healing.
Laser reshaping requires thorough and very precise measurements of all structures of the eye.
Investigations include:
You will see immediately after getting up from the operating bed, but the vision will be “like through water”. Most patients see texting on the phone right away. For a few hours you may have stinging, watery sensations and you will be bothered by bright light.
In most cases, the recovery is very easy: immediately after the operation, the vision is improved, and from the next day the patient can resume most of his activities.
Healing occurs at one’s own pace, and can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks as the visual system recalibrates and the brain must gradually adapt to it.
Postoperative treatment in the first two weeks consists of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drops.
The Clario operating room is equipped with the latest surgical and sanitary safety and sterility technologies.
Dioptre reduction is done with a combination of ZEISS Visumax & MEL femtosecond and excimer lasers, the world leader in this field.
The surgical table comes from Brumaba, leader in comfort and reliability.

At Clario, we have optimized all the procedures, so that the time allocated to the patient is the minimum necessary.
