The eye clinic Clario was launched in 2015 with the goal to build an ophthalmology clinic that provides medical services at the highest level, to everyone who needs care. From the selection of our medical team and the establishment of work protocols to the choice of location, the arrangement of the headquarters, the endowment with equipment, everything has been very carefully thought through so that Clario becomes a premium provider of ophthalmology medical services.
Clario was founded in Bucharest by Dr. Monica Apostolescu, an ophthalmology specialist, with over 15 years of work experience and Radu Apostolescu, medical graduate, entrepreneur, co-founder of eMAG. On the one hand, the passion for medicine and ophthalmology in particular, and on the other hand, the challenge of building successful teams and organizations were united in the Clario Ophthalmology project.

In 2015 Clario set off in a villa in the Domenii neighborhood in Bucharest with two consulting rooms, one for investigations and a small optical showroom. That’s when the welding of a strong team started, which grew and specialized continuously.
The year 2019 marked a very important step by moving to a modern, spacious, furnished and equipped to the highest standards building. The eye clinic Clario currently has four consulting rooms, two investigation ones, an operating room and a generous medical optics showroom. The headquarters is located in the NorthSide of Bucharest in a commercial and premium housing complex, also completed in 2019, with quick access to the subway and other means of transport.
In 2020, the operating room was inaugurated, equipped with the most advanced refractive surgery lasers worldwide, as well as state-of-the-art equipment for cataract surgery.
The eye clinic Clario team has grown by recruiting specialists, doctors and nurses, with experience, who are recognized in various branches of ophthalmology, both clinical and surgical. The clinic currently has the ability to treat a wide range of conditions ranging from pediatric ophthalmology to laser refractive surgery and cataract surgery. For the comfort of the patients, the necessary investigations are also done at Clario and the team of optometrists offers assistance in choosing the frames and lenses in the optical showroom.
