Computerized perimetry

Visual field testing for diagnosis and monitoring of glaucoma and neurological conditions.

Corneal topography

Complete corneal analysis: shape, thickness, keratoconus risk. Required for laser pre-operative evaluation.

Ocular biometry

Precise measurements for calculating the intraocular lens in cataract surgery.

Ocular ultrasound

Visualization of internal structures when media are opaque (dense cataract, vitreous hemorrhage).

Specular microscopy

Counting corneal endothelial cells. Important before intraocular surgeries.

Monitoring chronic conditions

Some eye diseases require long-term monitoring

Glaucoma

"The silent thief of sight" shows no symptoms until late. Regular monitoring of eye pressure and visual field prevents irreversible vision loss.

Diabetic retinopathy

Diabetes affects the blood vessels of the retina. Regular check-ups can prevent vision loss through early detection and treatment.

Recommendation: annual check-up or more frequent

AMD (Age-related Macular Degeneration)

Affects central vision, with increasing risk after age 50. Wet forms require treatment with intravitreal injections to stop progression.

Recommendation: check-up every 3-6 months

Keratoconus

Progressive corneal condition that requires topographic monitoring. Can be stabilized through crosslinking procedure.

Recommendation: check-up every 6-12 months
